Summary of the scientific report |
The “Dark Data” phenomenon means that often data analysis is infeasible using the currently existing methods and tools. High Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) addresses computational and data-intensive problems. There are numerous HPDA applications domains including: health care, real-time insurance quotes, security, or fraud detection. We study and develop novel optimization methods for HPDA on emerging computing infrastructures. The focus of our study is the efficient analysis of big data in the context of health care. Concepts developed during the visit will be further elaborated and validated experimentally. |
Personal notes |
A productive visit that led to elaboration of a CHIPSET use case, and development of plans for joint papers and future project proposals. |
