Summary of the scientific report

 This Short Term Scientific Mission (STSM) has been accomplished in full. It allowed bringing together and enable collaboration and exchange of the core scientific expertise of the Parallel Computing and Optimization group from the University of Luxembourg (UL), represented by Dr. Dzmitry Kliazovich, and the Research Laboratory of Applied Probabilistic Analysis from the Belarussian State University (BSU), headed by Prof. Alexander N. Dudin. Then following goals and activities have been accomplished:

  • Building formal model of cloud computing and big data systems by applying
  • Meeting with the team and presentations of research areas
  • Developing idea for a joint Horizon 2020 proposal
  • Planning student and staff exchange between our groups in Luxembourg and queuing systems theory Belarus for the year 2016.

Personal notes

 The visit was very well organized by Prof. Dudin and his team. While STSM program is an excellent way to foster collaboration and joint work.
