Summary of the scientific report |
The workplan for the STSM was realized in full. Two regular seminars of the Computer science department of CUT were devoted to the exchange of ideas and experience on the common aspects of the scientific research. Being a member of non-COST country, I was thoroughly introduced by prof. Joanna Kolodziej to the main research activities of the working groups and to the general purposes and aim of the COST Action. Besides two seminars we had several discussions with the members of the research group of the Computer science department of CUT, headed by prof. Joanna Kolodziej, and came up with some ideas and prepared some background material on the topic of the possible joint work. The organization issues of the 2016 conference track “high performance modeling and simulation” under umbrella of the European conference on modeling and simulation were also discussed. The main attention was paid to the question of how to make it and its future editions more visible for the COST Action participants. |

The stay was professionally organized by prof. Joanna Kolodziej. I’ve been provided with the working place fully equipped with everything one might need. Regular meetings with prof. Joanna Kolodziej and members of her research group made the scientific and personal collaboration indeed fruitful. The CUT and the Computer science department have all the facilities needed for comfortable work (computational cluster, library, e-resources, sports grounds, courtyards for discussions and walks, canteens and cafes for every taste). |
