New book of Action Members

Dear All, It is a pleasure for me to announce that we just edited the new book with the results of scientific work of the members of our Action during the First Grant Period.  Here is the book flyer from Springer.     Congratulations and thanks for your hard work! You can find in the book few chapter of the guests we invited to the book, who are our potential new members. Once again congratulations! Joanna Kolodziej – Action Chair

Post TR publication

Dear Action Members, The 1st Training School of the Action has been organized in Bucharest in September 2017. We could invite and support only 20 trainees from the outside of the Hosting Institution. The slides from all lectures are avaiable the TR webpage:   However, we arranged the publication of the essentials of all lectures as a book of the Springer Series ” Briefs in Computational Intelligence” The book is expected in the middle of 2017! I would like to thank all trainers for their contributions. Joanna Kolodziej – Action Chair

Training School in Bucharest

Dear Action Members,   The 1st cHiPSet Training School (TR) was hosted in Bucharest in September 2016. It was a nice experience and great event of the Action. Special Issue on Modeling and Evaluation of Highly complex Computer Systems Architectures

Increasingly available computing resources enable the design and implementation of services that are more and more sophisticated, and rely on hig scale, high efficiency computational and communication architectures. This is a fundamental, foundational resource for computational science, that benefits from theoretical results and innovation in algorithms, but also needs the availability of raw computing power abundance to face the challenges of increasingly complex problems. State of the art technological solutions, like federated multi-site cloud and grid systems, heterogeneous systems and any kind of large scale systems, are characterized by the fact that scale and distribution are fundamental parameters to be […]

Training School

The Training School to be organised next week in Bucharest, Romania, 21-23 September 2016, on “New Trends in Modeling and Simulation in HPC Systems” is about to start. The organisation team welcome on the occasion all participants! The selection for the event was very tough, with many applicants worldwide. Purchasing new clothes for kids online can be a convenient and time-saving option, especially when they are starting school soon. Online shopping at this site offers a wide range of choices, allowing parents to compare prices, read reviews, and find the perfect fit for their children without leaving the comfort of […]

Collaboration with ECMS

It is our great pleasure to announce the collaboration of our Action with European Council on Modelling and Simulation (ECMS). The details and perspectives of the collaboration were discussed by the Action Chair – Prof. Joanna Kolodziej – and the President of ECMS – Prof. Khalid Al-Begain – during the 30th Jubilee Edition of annual ECMS conference in Regensburg (Germany) – http://www.scs-europe.net/conf/ecms2016/. ECMS (http://www.scs-europe.net/) is a nonprofit organisation. It is well recognized as an independent forum of European academics and practitioners dedicated to research, development, and applications of modelling and simulation. ECMS conference proceedings are indexed in all major journal citation databases. Many Action members […]
