cHiPSet Training School #1 – Call for Trainees

The first cHiPSet Training School will take place in Bucharest, Romania, at the Faculty of Automatic Controls and Computers, from 21 to 23 September, 2016. Call for Trainees for the following training school is open. PhD students, researchers and skilled practitioners interested in participating in this training event are welcome to apply. cHiPSet Training School #1 – Call for Trainers

We invite interested colleagues that can contribute with teaching activities related to the scope of High-Performance Modelling and Simulation for Big Data Applications, to apply for Trainer position. STSM grants

cHiPSet has released the 1st call of STSM Grants for the 2nd Grant Period with a Budget of 15.000 euros, and oriented to provide 5-10 grants depending on the applicant proposals. During the previous 1st Grant Period 12 candidates have already enjoyed a STSM grant. The candidates can travel to any of the countries participating in the action, including Near Neighbor Countries and International Partner Countries, for a minimum period of 5 days and up to 3 months. New Scientific Coordinator

It is my great pleasure to announce that our cHiPSet Action has new Scientific Coordinator.  Dr Clemens Grelck – cHiPSet MC member from Netherlands has been elected recently by the MC of the Action and replaced Dr Steffen Moeller. On behalf of the Action Chairs, I would like to thank Steffen for his work during the first grant period and let me welcome Clemens with our warm congratulations and wishes of the successful work. The 4th EURECA Workshop in Dublin

The  EU H2020 EURECA project consortium organizes a workshop on Wednesday 11th of May in Dublin at the Chartered Accountants House (http://eureca-project.eu/workshop/the-4th-eureca-workshop). The cHiPSet members are very welcome to join the meeting. The EURECA event brings together the CIO, Irish Government; CTO, Local Government Management Agency; and a number of international experts to discuss ICT sustainability and Cloud consolidation in the Irish public sector. Attendees are largely c-level executives / ICT managers from the Irish public sector and representatives of the Cloud and Data Centre industry.
